Why isn't it fully automatic in Chrome?
Android and desktop browsers do not expose Wi‑Fi RSSI to ordinary websites for privacy/security reasons. If this page is put inside a small Android app/WebView, it can read RSSI automatically through a native bridge.

If a wrapper app exposes window.Android.getWifiRssi(), this page detects it and polls the signal once per second automatically.
